Your right to cancel
If you bought from us online or over email, you can cancel your order within fourteen days and get your money back. You don’t have to give us a reason, and you don’t have to justify it. This is called your right of withdrawal, and it comes from Irish and European consumer law.
The fourteen days run from the day you receive the goods. If your order arrives in several parcels, the fourteen days run from the day the last parcel arrives.
How to cancel
There’s a cancellation button in your account and in every order email we send you. It’s the quickest way, and it gives you a dated record straight away.
Cancel an order
You can cancel most orders within fourteen days and get your money back. You do not need to give us a reason. Pick the order below and we will take you through it.
If you ordered without making an account, use the cancellation link in your order confirmation email. It takes you straight to the right order.
If you cannot find that email, send us your order number at websales@flashpointsystems.ie and we will handle it for you.
You can also cancel by emailing us at websales@flashpointsystems.ie. Any clear statement that you want to cancel is enough. If you’d rather use a standard form, there’s one at the bottom of this page.
Whichever way you tell us, we’ll email you an acknowledgement with the date and time we received it. Keep it, because it’s your proof that you cancelled in time.
What you can’t cancel
The law sets out a small number of things the fourteen day right doesn’t cover. The one that matters most in our range is sealed goods.
- Sealed goods that can’t be returned on health protection or hygiene grounds, once they’ve been opened. A lot of what we sell is medical, first aid and hygiene stock, so this covers a real part of the catalogue. If the seal is intact you can still cancel. Once it’s broken we can’t take the item back.
- Goods made to your specification, or clearly personalised.
- Goods that spoil or expire quickly.
- Goods that were mixed inseparably with other items after delivery.
Where an item is excluded, the cancellation screen tells you so and explains why, rather than offering you a button that wouldn’t do anything.
Faulty or damaged goods are separate
None of the above affects your rights if something is faulty, damaged, or isn’t what you ordered. Those rights are separate, they last longer than fourteen days, and they apply to sealed goods too. Email us and we’ll put it right.
Sending goods back
Once you’ve told us you’re cancelling, send the goods back within fourteen days. Please include your order number so we can match it up, and keep your proof of postage.
Send returns to:
Flashpoint Systems
Unit 6 Charvey Court Business Park
Rathnew

You pay the cost of returning the goods unless we’ve told you otherwise, or unless the goods are faulty. Goods stay your responsibility until they reach us, so we’d suggest a tracked service for anything valuable.
You can handle and inspect the goods the way you would in a shop. If you go further than that and the value drops as a result, we can reduce your refund to reflect it.
Your refund
We refund you within fourteen days of the goods arriving back with us, or of you showing us proof that you sent them, whichever comes first.
The refund covers what you paid for the goods, plus the standard delivery charge you paid on the way out. If you chose a faster delivery than our standard option, we refund the standard rate, not the upgrade. We refund to the card or account you paid with, and there’s no charge for it.
Model cancellation form
You don’t have to use this form. The button above does the same job and it’s faster. It’s here because the law says we have to give it to you.
